Settling Into Home

Kairi, astride her dragon Kai looked down apon the mountain range and the beggining of the caves below her. Kai circled slowly her great wings beating the air gracefully as a large Pale dragon approached them, greeting them happily. Hello I'm Koast, the largest of the Pale's, and also i'm going to show you your weyr. We have one just for your size too just follow me.Koast said turning on wing and leading the dragon and rider towards a, what looked like, narrow opening. As they got close though it was huge allowing even the Pale's wings through and into a huge cavern able to fit 2000 or more dragons alone on the ledges set into the walls. A pair of fire dragons were on the sands below one of them curled protectively around a brood of nearly 30 eggs. A couple other dragons were on the Hot sands some without eggs and others almost ready to lay. But the Pale and the White dragon moved on to the back of the hatching grounds and into a tunnel leading back outside. Before long they stopped to rest on a huge balcony fit for dragons of a MUCH larger size then Kai. Kairi dismounted and peered inside the opening gasping at the rooms inside. The majority were huge allowing ample space for a dragon to move around and also space for a person. Oh!Koast its for us? It's beautiful thank you! Kairi exclaimed and the Pale dragon looked taken aback by her reaction.He left them soon after to settle in and Kai, just as excited as Kairi, lumbered into her new roomy home. To Kairi's surprise a knock came from a doorway with an animals fur hung across it. A young girl lifted the hanging out of the way and smiled warmly. Good afternoon Kairi, I'm Ciate and I'm to help you get used to the weyrs. I am the rider of a Bronze dragon but she is in the Hatching Grounds right now so I'm stuck here its a pleasure to meet another elf! Ciate bowed her hair shifting to reveal her elven ears. Kairi was equally surprised she spoke English so well, and the fact that she too was a dragonrider. She smiled as Kai rumbled a welcome.
